India’s Economies growth often compared with China’s tremendous growth, which made china to second largest economy in the world after United states of America. China has become the world’s manufacturing centre. You cannot avoid buying a product in super market or even a local market which is not made in China. Cheap Labor supply and abundance of raw material has made china into no. 1 in manufacturing industry. A prudent economic Policy of People Republic of china has definitely helped in creating a conducive economic environment into making the things possible for concrete economic growth and prosperity of this communist country.
As we see the things in similar perspective, India’s IT industry has got similar growth what china has achieved in Manufacturing. There are many factors which attributed for this Industry growth in India. English as a primary language for many Indian Professional, also the early entrepreneurs who has started their company’s in 80’s as a small company developed into a Multi Billion dollar empire like Infosys and Tcs.
But we see the bigger picture what made China and India to Manufacturing and IT Hub respectively is definitely the plenty of recepies available in abundance to fuel this sector growth. India has got Skilled Labor or resource which can be trained and molded easily and has the capacity to Bangalored (to be competent replacement for western white collar job) a white collar guy working on well paid in Dollar and based in California or London. Yes I am talking about the new reality of Flat world where things are part only by Phone calls and Time Zone. We are living in different world where the High speed Internet connectivity is the reality of the household.
Now the knowledge is the power, if you know better and have good information you can be take over your opponent, you can earn better and get prosperous. It’s a brain which does all the works, there is no other raw material required here.
In India we have Thousand of Engineering colleges and Business Management Institute. They claimed to be the best in the things which they do. But still most of the student coming from theses colleges are only Book literate, they cannot be employed directly in the new world which requires knowledge, experience and confidence and have a constructive personality. You have to roman when you are in Rome. What I am mean to say, our student has to be fit enough to do International Task. It means, you required
1. Fluent in English or Language which is required to get the job done.
2. Efficient in the technology ( I mean Real time technology. e.g. SAP, SAS, Oracle, Tera Data, Cognos, etc) These courses are not being taught in the colleges approved by AICTE.
3. Have enough knowledge and expertise into the above technology to take any assignment and complete it.
You know the biggest Problem the Western Company face in China in Piracy and patent. Chinese government allowed this thing happens and its one the reason for the China Rise in Manufacturing and other Sectors development. This is what I expect from Indian government; allow us affordable IT education in India, where Indian can afford to Learn Real Time technology at cheap rate without being harassed by government department.
If you take an example of Ameerpet (an IT education Hub In Hyderabad) in Hyderabad, People often says its SATYAM an enterprise an Ramalingam Raju which puts Andhra Pradesh on world’s IT map. But I strongly believe and have all the evidence to say, that Ameerpet has contributed the most in India for its affordable high level technology education in IT. A graduate who came to Ameerpet as a book literate has became and IT expert, and this Ameerpet has to offer to the world and very valuable economic contribution to India.
We need not one Ameerpet, but hundreds of them in India to give strong competition to the rest of flat world in Knowledge based economy.
